OMG! Voss overpowered much ?!

I have unlocked the majority of the weapon systems of the other classes, but never really did anything for Assault beyond the Defib.

Well after clocking up 5 unlocks in the last few days I decided to get myself the Voss and by god I racked up 32 kills in about 15 mins on Titan Defence! No joke that's a clear 80% higher than my usual average of ~17 kills.

I was taking these people down in under a second, over and over. Not only is it hyper powerful, but the mags seem to last for ever.

Now I know why I keep getting owned by the Voss jockies. :laugh:

Oh dear, is there a huge pro-Voss Jockey community out there then? Look, it's a neat weapon but I'm kind of wishing they could knock its power down a tad or decrease the mag size by a little. Kind of even it out a bit. That said it is the top of the assault tree and I guess it should be powerful.

It's mainly either very for, or very against.

People against (of which I am one) say it is overpowered, with too little specialization it owns most of the ranges you'll encounter on an infantry based map. A large mag and low recoil make it absolute spray and pray, which unfortunately works well in this game. Throw enough bullets at that sniper and you'll get 'em champ! They also point out the sheer popularity of it as being a sign that something just ain't right.

People for it call the Againsts noobs who just aren't good with it. (you'd have to be quadriplegic to not do well with it, BTW) and say it's perfectly balanced.

meh, there are plenty more annpoying things than the voss, like long range camping snipers.

I think the reason there are a lot of voss users out there is beacuse it doesnt take long for you to fullfill the critea for the other kits to gain your gold badges... once done people fall back on the best all rounded kit that gains points and easy to use.. Assault being that.. a good alround gun, the means to heal ones self, heal and revive others.. i would say that the assault is the best all round kit and thats why you get games with 90% Assault guys...

Not this again... I used to use the Voss alot and did well with it. Then i concentrated on the Baur and after i while i did as well with it as i did with the Voss.

I've never been pwned by Voss users any more than i have been pwned by any other Assaul rifle users so i really can't agree and say that it's overpovered.

Nowadays i frequently switch between the Baur and Voss depending on the situation i'm going to spawn in.

The #1 post said he was pwning with Voss in the titan corridors and that's exactly one of the places i'd choose the Voss for...

Yep and the Voss is only useful for a mere 99% of those situations which is perfectly fine ofcourse since it's so damn hard to use. I have yet to see someone who does not rack up the kills with the Voss. I'm glad it's such a pro gun.. Yeah.

I think the only time the Baur is more effective than, or as effective as, the Voss is if your enemy is trying to pick their teeth with your gun.
