If they've got the jump on me or are already really close, I'll put a clip in him.

If they're just standing there (this usually happens if both me and my opponent run into each other with medhubs or whatever out), then switch to a knife, or if they're running at me with a knife from more then 10 yards away, I'll pull mine out too.

Basically depends if I can safely switch or not.

I love knifing people. If I rush someone with my knife, and they shoot at me, I dive and get their tags. If I rush someone with my knife and the pull out their knife, I pull out my Lambert and drain a clip into them. IMHO, knifing wasn't put into the game so people can have these stupid little "Duels"... If someone else is in a duel though, I will leave them alone. I know how frustrating it is to be right beside one of the top leaderboard people ready to knife him when he gets shot by some random guy.

Yeah I honor the strafing duel-of-death to a degree, which is if the enemy comes at me instead I'll mow him down. BTW the best ways I know to get tags is either to take the secret flanking route on Gibby if the enemy is held up at the toll station, or jumping off one of the second floor walkways on Fall of Berlin.
