Was this on loading Cebere Landing? I get this same error probably about 3 out of 5 times when I am loading up Cebere Landing. I have done a lot of searching through google and others but have not come up with the answer yet. If someone knows a fix I would love to hear it as I have just not been playing any Cebere latley due to this error.

This memory error is different than the map freezing at about 50-60%. When that happens you don't get any error in windows. When this one happens you get the box with the memory sanity error that the original post talks about.

From what I have been reading it was a problem at times with BF2 also.

another thing....i had tweaked my startup so i wasnt running as many processes while playing 2142, ive done this many times and never had a problem. i set everything back to normal start up using mcconfg and havent had a problem since.
dont know if that has anything to do with it though.

I have had the same problem for some time now.. Only happens on Cerbere. Other maps work like a charm.. i got 2 Gigs of RAM and Vista. The error message was the same excep for the first number being a large NEGATIVE one and the other one "4096Mb".

I just reinstalled the game twice today and deleted everything in the BF2142 folder under "documents" except the screenshots. and also in the hidden folders i deleted everything.. cache and all.. also i removed radial.cdb and did all the usual stuff recommended on this forum...

                      Still getting the error.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, I had this a few times recently ish.
It turned out it was a Windows problem, suppose it must have been as it never happened again, anyway take a look at this.

I'm not 100% sure that it was the exact same fix, as it was on my other PC, but it did work and this won't do your system any harm.

Don't think there is a real "fix"... When it happens to me, it happens once. I start the game back up, and can play just fine. I've gotten it twice, and they were 6 months apart.
