SoundBlaster Audigy 4

Does anyone use this sound card? I can't seem to use any other setting in game except software. If I change it to hardware, then it will usually crash the computer while making some weird sounds. I put this card in my self, shouldn't it be set as hardware on the in game audio settings?

Anyone had this problem?

I have the newest drives. and here are my specs.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+, 1989 MHz
1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT
Windows XP Pro SP2

I also had problems when I set it to hardware, and I have an Audigy as well. And I haven't found a fix, although I have never really looked to be honest.

i have that card and use the latest drivers. no problems. set to hardware, high quality and EAX. using xp pro.
