Multiplayer doesnt make a game; gaming isnt about killing other players, it's about story telling. It's about the unique experience you recieve when playing a game. Multiplayer doesnt capture that.
It saddens me that a lot of people see gaming as a purely multiplayer. I suppose that's what a lot of people are brought up on nowadays.
When i buy games, i buy them primarily for single player; if it doesnt have a good single player but has a good multiplayer i won't buy it. If it doesnt have multiplayer, i dont care.
With obvious exceptions, of course.
Also, you dont spend the entire game swimming around, in case you hadn't noticed the buildings are air-tight. Also, it's not magic, it's biomods.
I can't think of a more interesting place for a game to take place, it's a refreshing change from space or dry land. Plus, it's probably the most dangerous place on Earth.
