Need some help.

My motherboard went in April and with it, so did my graphics card. He replaced the graphics card with an IntelR extreme graphics which is ****ty. I am getting a new graphics card in september and would like to know if my computer is ready to go first by my specs.

Windows XP service pack 2
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz
2.67 GHz,
504MB of RAM, Which I will be upgrading in october if all goes well.


I am at a little bit of a crossroads with Graphics card, I am not worried about being able to play the game on High quality, any quality that has as little lag as possible is fine for me.
I know I want the Nvidia 7 series, just stuck on which one.

Which one would be best if I am not focused on quality.

The 7900GS would easily do the job, and I notice it is far cheaper as well.

Since you dont have a great CPU, or enough ram you may not see the benefit of the 7950 over the 7900GS.

Thanks. I was hoping the 7900GS would be better. I want to get a 512MB RAM in October or November.

You will notice that you can not go by the model number alone, there is a huge difference between a GS and a GTX even though both are 7900
