    BF2142 taunt

Below it mentions a war dance taunt? I don't remember ever seeing this? was it included in the game and has anyone done or seen it...

    Battlefield 2142 Veteran's Program.

As we promised in our last newsletter, DICE is pleased to announce the details surrounding the Veterans Program — our way to reward loyal Battlefield 2 players who are planning to play Battlefield 2142.

Players who have logged time with BF2 will be able to log onto the Battlefield website and reserve their Battlefield 2 name for Battlefield 2142 before lamers can squat on it.

Veterans status will also provide players with several other items including the following:
An exclusive war dance animation that you can use in-game to taunt/pwn other players

An in-game notification icon that lets other players know that you had a tour of duty in Battlefield 2

An instant promotion that will be available the first time you log onto the game.
This will let you choose from several weapons and gadgets right off the bat—from a Herzog shotgun attachment to your assault rifle to a V5 EMP grenade available to the support class…and more.

Be sure to check back often for more news surrounding the Veteran's Program so that you can get in on the ground level.

    Wasnt the taunt for BF2?

I've heard you have to bind it to a key, but can't tell if it's working because only other players can see/hear it.

I know that there is taunt for bf2. You need to click the "spot" enemy when he is shot(just the right time). And then you hear that laugh. And that act's as an taunt. It's kinda rare thing to happen thou.

But i have never heard about taunt in bf2142.

      *Edit*

Found this from the "register as vet" page thingy.

As humanity fights for survival in the year 2142, your army needs you more than ever. Your past Battlefield 2 experience makes you an invaluable asset in the war of the future.

As a Battlefield 2 player you have qualified for Veteran status in Battlefield 2142. For your heroic efforts in Battlefield 2, we are pleased to announce that you will be awarded an exclusive Veteran indicator next to your name in Battlefield 2142, so other players will recognize that you’ve had a tour of duty in Battlefield 2. You will also receive an immediate promotion in Battlefield 2142, which will let you choose an unlock. Finally, you will receive a new verbal taunt to use in Battlefield 2.

Enter your Battlefield 2 soldier name and password and then enter the name you would like to use in 2142. You must have an existing EA account to complete this. Please note that as Battlefield 2142 has been released, we can no longer guarantee that your Battlefield 2 soldier name is still available. All unclaimed names were made available as soon as Battlefield 2142 launched.

Please complete the promotion with the ea.com name you plan on using with your Battlefield 2142 registration. If a different ea.com account name is used there is a chance you will not receive your promotional item.

Please note that the immediate promotion is compatible with any retail program that grants you an immediate promotion, and you will be promoted twice. However, claiming your Veteran status after you have already ranked up through normal gameplay will have no effect on your ranking, though the other rewards can still be claimed.

      I'll do some more research...

When I feel like taunting someone I just ask if they want some wah-burgers or french cries.

Nope. AFAIK anyone can use the BF2 "laugh" taunt by spotting people when they die.

Well the "vet program" says, when you register you get verbal taunt for Bf2.

              I found this.

              Hello,

Thank you for your response. After further review of the new verbal taunt for Battlefield 2, I can inform you of the following. This informaiton will later be posted on the official website.

The verbal taunt is activated by “spotting” an enemy player who is in a “man down” state (ie dead or critically wounded). The rules for how often it can be used are governed by the servers radio spam settings in the same manner as all player messages.

In order to use the taunt you must have registered for the veterancy program, and have both BF2 and 2142 installed. The actual taunt is a random selection of one of three possible sounds.

I apologize for not being able to give you this information in the previous e-mail. Let me know if you have other questions.

cool, right up my alley. I just so happen to reinstall BF2 recently. Will try it out!

P.S What's worse than getting teabagged is getting killed while teabagging someone.

                  UPDATE: didnt work on 2142.
