Northern Strike worth it?

Well $9.99 is nothign to me, but I was wondering if you guys even like playing northern srike. Some how it just seems like a week expanshion that should have been a content patch.

The maps are fun enough, but they are not the promised infantry maps.
On the contrary map sizes above 32 consist mainly of vehicles raping infantry.

But besides the maps you also get access to some rather easy awards which can be used to buy unlocks (any unlocks, not just those from NS), and you are able to unlock the NS upgrades permanently.

So if $10 is nothing to you then by all means buy it.

The unlocks and easy awards are worth it. The maps are okay too.

The goliath tends to be a big giant ball of rape if no-one actually goes Recon with RDX and Engineer, but its definetly worth it. Easy awards giving you an instant unlock :)

infantry sonar and motion mine bait are worth 10 bux imo. definitly a skimpy booster for sure.

My vote- Yup. A number of very handy unlocks, & the maps are decent.

I think it's worth it if you want something new in Battlefield and if the price is nothing to you. I really like playing it because I'm after the awards which are pretty easy to get.

Got it last month and it is very much worth it. If u are brig u will stop relying on field upgrades to use the new cool toys

I vote no, I bought it when it first came out and haven't played it in a good 2 months. The maps are nothing special and the unlocks are pretty boring.

The only MAp i don't enjoy is the Bridge. Too big, can barely find anyone to kill in the largest version of the map.

There are more of a handfull of unlocks that i found very usefull. The best one would be the IDS for the support class

Port Bavaria is beautiful, Lepzig is cool (think wider version of Berlin, w/ more varied terrain) Remagen is kinda blah..(huge Berlin with lots of high buildings and a TON of vehicles)

for those of you who are I/O players, you probably won't like it as it's very vehicle heavy... hachimotos are so much fun though :yay:

the awards are all fairly easy to get, so it helps to get unlocks, especially at lower ranks...

The IDS1 is worth ten dollars on it's own. Plus the Clark RDX which is tough to use and underpowered but a great laugh to use. The Goliath game mode is cool and the new maps are good as well. Leipzig is a great map, large scale with lot's of different environments to use. Towers, elevated rail tracks, high buildings, alleyways, roads!
