interesting timing for this post...just yesterday i finally got this ribbon with a good walker driver(was my SL too) on camp G. although i had to camp the walker respawn because we were taken out on my 13th AA kill x.x \

so try to find a good pilot that gives you time to aim(and you dont have to baserape either).

I know I got 15 kills in walker 2nd seat once on Berlin but I didn't get the ribbon, so I was under the assumption that didn't work, but I'll be sure to try again, but I have noticed that most drivers are idiots and either keep walking away for some reason when your firing at +5 enemies on foot or they remain oblivious to the other walker and rorshs(sp). I'll see if I can set up a walker squad lol.

Do you recommend a map/size for trying this?

oh yea, i was PAC on camp gibraltar but you could do it on berlin or another good infantry map with walker spawns.

Titan map with moving titans. Spam ground guns and switch to AA guns before impact and the kills from ground cannons will register as titan AA kills. Just make sure hat there's no crowd waiting to use the titan guns, or you'll lose your seat when you switch.

Or, if you don't feel like taking advantage of a goofy game mechanic, you can man the AA gun on a map with static titans, and blast away at the incoming transports. Everybody and their brother is flying these days- you'll get your kills. Just make sure to take out any APC's that park below you, and transports that land safely, then go back to your AA slaughterfest.

there's no need to quasi-cheat...this medal was fairly easy to get. all it takes is a little bit of patience in in the titan AA and noob pilots who don't get the drift that you're going to be manning the AA for that round. They'll keep flying right back to you for another easy kill.

One way to get the Air Defense pin. Sit in a turret for several games constantly doing nowt else trying to shoot down ships whilst making sure no-one snipes you out of your turret (unless you're in Titan AA that is). Its do-able but insanely boring coz you miss out on all the action and dont really achieve much points wise. Though I'll give Kudos for anyone who does sit in the Titan AA all game doing nowt else coz it proves that guy doesnt care about point spamming like 90% of players out there and is actually trying to help their team win.

On a side note I dont use the Titan AA......coz I get bored quickly! :P

Got mine while Commanding on a Titan map. Just sit in the Titan AA guns and wait for the transports to come in; the Titan AA rips through those like butter

Sounds even more boring, just sit there clicking on 4-5 buttons on theCommander screen while occasionally killing a ship (assuming the enemy isn't more intelligent and using APC's!)

Yea it is easiest to get either in the Walker AA gun on the likes of Camp G, or on titan, but it is a lot better if the titans are static, as most people will then fly over

Yeah, it's boring... but there's a ribbon or something associated with Titan AA :p

And it gives you something to do while commanding on Titan maps... a lot of servers require the Commander to stay on/near the Titan :)

Added benefit of commanding is you can do Sat Tracks to see the Transports coming in and prepare

Shouldn't be all about the ribbons and point collecting mate. You already get twice the points for the team winning when all you're doing is sitting there staring at a map!

And yes the Sat Track "incoming" tactic works!

Gotta have something to do when your team isn't listening to you... so I see if there's any awards I can work on :p
