Why can't I play in Northern Strike?

So I bought Northern Strike from a shop today and I wrote the code on EA Link, then I installed it. No problem. Got into the game joined a server and when It's loaded I press join the game and it says (I'll post a picture in case someone knows any Spanish and below I'll translate):



"In this server only players who haven't modified the content are accepted. Go back to the official version of Battlefield 2142 to join it."

I'm not sure what to do and I hope I translated it as clear as possible.

Help please, I'd like to play Northern Strike!

follow my instructions:

install patch 1.20 then ns then 1.25 if it doesnt work
try reinstalling game and then patch it the way i said.

You can patch to 1.25 both times, no need to drag 1.20 out of the trashcan.
If you already was running 1.25 when you installed NS, then it is very likely that you just need to apply it once more to get it running.

The problem with NS is that the version you download is never updated, so you will have to patch to newest version after installing it.
But NS itself requires that BF2142 has been patched to at least 1.20 before you can install it, forcing you to do two patchings if you make a clean install of 2142 and NS.

get the full patch and re install the game from start just to make sure
save ur profile as well its in ur my docs folder

Yes, apply the full 1.25 patch again
The incremental will usually work, but you will need the full patch anyway if you need to reinstall, so you might as well get it from the start.
In my experience full is more reliable than incremental

If you reinstall like g/man suggest, you will need to apply the patch both after BF2142 and after 2142.
But try just applying 1.25 again before you reinstall.

Me pasó lo mismo. (the same to me)
Instala el parche 1.25 completo, y ya está. No hay necesidad de re-instalar el juego completamente.
"Install the 1.25 patch complete, and that's it. There's no need of re-installing the whole game again."
