Ever since I bought BF2142 I have been bothered with some annoying stuttering/lagg during gameplay. It occurs quite frequently, about 1-2 times per round. By stuttering I mean, really choppy gameplay. Fraps is telling me I'm at around 45-60 FPS, but it feels more like 4-5. This only happens during online gameplay, on singleplayer it's stable as a rock. The stuttering happens around 1-2 min after I join a server and lasts for anything between 3-5 minutes. After that, everything is smooth. Until the next round, where it starts to stutter for another 3-5 minutes. At first I suspected the overclock to be the culprit, so I restored all the clocks back to stock. No difference. I checked through DSL reports in my line quality and it seemed fine (3000/512 dsl). I've also tried to set all graphic settings to low and it yielded no difference. Sure the FPS went higher, but still I suffered stuttering. I checked the firewall and all the required ports were open, antivirus disabled. Defragged the whole thing and renewed the game cache. So I wondered if anyone here have experienced the same thing and if possible how they resolved it. Thanks in advance and pardon my crappy english. I'm Korean/Norwegian.
