How do people stat pad??

I hear alot about people stat padding. Now i play pretty much everyday for an hour or so depending if the wife is watching her crappo soaps.

How do people stat pad (I am not remotely interested in doing this) I just wondered how and why its done. As there doesnt seem much point to this, but from what i have heard the only way above BG is by people who do it.

yeah weird eh, i've never felt the urge to get points by any other way other than by killing and capping. knife padding servers are the only way i can think of that people can cheat their score, given that it entitles you to SC etc and that you are guaranteed 20 points for every 8 knife kills

i used a bot in diablo2, but that is my only shameful gaming admission

I still dont understand how. I mean you only get points for playing. You get points for wins, being commandor. To get to some of the leaders points i would have to play 20 hours a day 7 days a week.

I guess i wont get told how as some people may use this to their advantage.
Surely EA must know how its done and remove peoples scores?

Why also is a question as you would think you would want to get the the top by being the best not how well you cheat?

as i said, if you are only allowed to use knives you are going to get a lot of points very quickly because the rounds will last ages and you will be awarded with many many collector's pins, each worth 20 points. 4 pistol kills also nets you an extra 5 points

Basically, getting points at a much higher rate than normal.

Using various methods, glitching, exploiting, hacking, knife servers, getting friends together.

You're assuming every drooling Intarw3bz-dwelling moron is an upstanding moral citizen who always plays by the rules and refuses to step on someone's back to get in front of them in line, nor take steriods to win the Tour de France.

And, lest I be thought unclear: that is a bad assumption, perhaps one of the worst assumptions of all time, especially given the anonymous "I'll never have to pay the price 'cause they don't know who I am" nature of said Intarw3bz.

some people do it to get crazy KDR's and/or SPM's youtube has a couple of so called "L337 Stat Padding" vidoes.

Are anyone really doing serious stats padding? I believe all the common glitches that are giving points are fixed.

The only things I can think of is standing in the middle of nowhere with a friend and throwing nades with an ammo hub, or carefully shooting each other in the knees an heal each other. But I don't think that's really effective enough for people to bother to do.

However most of the high ranked hard core players, get their points by playing a lot and using methods for maximum score per minute. This is things like RDX-hopping on FF=Off servers, spawn raping with APC in Berlin or AFK-commanding.

Knife servers are probably a good way to get an unnatural high amount of points too. People usually get together in a large bunch, getting knife kills and revives very quickly.

Do you know i couldnt think of a more boring thing to do. Where is the fun in that? Half the fun is testing yourself against others. Standing round your handbags knifing and reviving each other is about as lame as it gets.

Well thanks everyone for explaining some of how people do it. Now i know it seems really pointless its not as if you get paid for being at the top.
