Well I had to delay this for about...a month, but here it is, my new storyline. This storyline takes 2 months after my previous book btw.
"Garnier! get to cover!! they got us zero'd!!" I shouted.
A shell from the orbital strike hit the FAV near him, engulfing it in flames and knocking him unconscious.
"Leterman!! Garnier is down, cover me!" I ordered.
He replied, "alright sir!" while realoding his HMG.
I ran through the field zig-zagging to dodge gunfire, shrapnel, and debris. I reached the unconscious Cpl. Garnier and found peices of shrapnel in his legs. He was also bleeding, but nothing serious. I looked over to my squad who was giving me cover fire and nodded. I picked him up and put his arm around my shoulder and ran back to shelter.
Jack shouted over the comlink, "PAC gunship on your six! it has you in your sights, over!"
I glanced at the slim daragon gunship and ordered Pvt. Ackerson to take it out. In the distance I saw Ackerson aiming his pilum at the approaching gunship. He held his breath, and fired. The pilum round sped towards the gunship and detonated on its tail, causing the gunship to plummet towards the ground in an uncontrolled spin.
I was barely twenty feet away from my squad when the gunship landed right in front of me and knocked me off my feet along with Garnier. Jack came sprinting straight towards us not caring whether he would be shot or obliterated. A flight of friendly gunships flew overhead and released all of their firepower into the enemy positions at the Trash dump and mountains. Jack arrived, picked Garnier up, helped me get back on my feet and we started running back. An A-8 tiger pulled up where we were, while the rest of its convoy moved to retake Suez Canal.
Friendly gunships hovered dangerously low to dodge AA fire, while destroying enemy tanks and APCs. I ordered my squad to move up towards the ridge to cover the convoy's approach. The rest of the company headed north, to push the PAC out.
Two hundred feet up in the air and fifty miles away from us, twelve massive EU titans and ten UAS titans headed towards Suez Canal.
"Alright gentlemen, Gamma company will take the mountainous region along the western side of the canal to take out the PAC positions there. The Union of African states' titans will head towards the suspected staging point in the Arabian peninsula to reinforce their 4th battalion. The rest of the EU fleet will standby and await for further orders." General Whitney said.
