cant find folders

i looked at that thread that says about how to fix problems with vista and bf2142. well my problem says i can be fixed if i do the following

Clicking BF2142 leads you to a black screen flash and Crash back to desktop with an error message
*fix this by deleting the "VideoSettings.setResolution" rows in both video.con files (under "default" and under profile "0001"). Seems that the graphics drivers in vista don't like the way 2142 changes the resolution on the fly.

well i try to do that but i cant find any of the folders or the files, can anyone tell me where i'd find them?

All the settings and profiles can be found in your Documents folder, where there should be a Battlefield 2142 subfolder.
This way they are kept when you reinstall BF2142

ok well i found the video.con under the default folder but i cant find it under profile 0001, but it also says you have to delete the file "VideoSettings.setResolution" in the rows of the file, how do i get to the rows to do that?

Just delete the whole profiles folder, it will be replaced when you start 2142 again.

Stop bumping, if anything it reduces your chances of getting an answer.
They are all simple textfiles, just use an editor like notepad or whatever you prefer.

You really should consider getting a "Windows for Beginners" guide before you start to mess around with any files on your system.
I am not confident that you are up to it.

Notepad defaults to only showing .txt files.
That should be quite obvious when you are in the open file dialog.
