Anyone noticed how things off command and conquer 3 resemble things off 2142?

okay now im not sure if it is just me but i have noticed a few things on C and C 3 that look like they have been taken off this, ill list what i can remember off the top of my head, bare in mind by resemble i mean there is a slight difference in most of the things;

The motion mine bait flies through the air like the grenades from the grenadiers on C and C 3
GDI APC's look a bit like the ground hog
The colour scheme of the GDI rifleman Armor is the same as the Eu's armour.
The Venom (NOD aircraft) looks a bit like the Talon.
The GDI commandos resemble the PAC's armor on NS.

That's all that i can remember of the top of my head, but it does seem a canny resemblance between certain things.

throwing grenades look like other grenades being thrown? Oh the shock and/or surprise =o

APCs of the likes of the groundhog and GDI aren't original in design. They're quite common in sci fi really, just look at the APC of aliens or starship troopers. If anything, the groundhog looks like it was taken from the GDI APC in TS. That and the GDI APC has two exposed front wheels.

GDI has always been gold/orange from way back in the original game.

Venom looks more like a cross between the orca and harpy (nod's helicopter thing from TS) Either way, thruster based VTOL has been around in sci fi long before either of these games. If anything, the gunships and 2142 look like they're taken from the original orca design.

Commando looks like normal combat armour to me.

Anyone play SupCom. The Cybran Gunships look alot like Doragons.
