Punkbuster problem

Well I tried the search function and didn't seem to find an answer for this yet:



PB IMPORTANT: RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe heartbeats stopped

^I dont even know what that means

I tried window's firewall settings off, reinstalled punkbuster and I'm still getting these problems. Here's my set up:

Toshiba Satellite X205-S9349
Intel Core 2 Proc T7100 @ 1.80 GHz
2GB RAM
240 GB HD
Nvidia 8700M GT 256MB
Windows Vista Home Premium

Tried updating it also no luck. I'm in the process of reinstalling 2142 and updating it to 1.25 to see it that fixes it.

I had the same problem too, last week. Click on pbsetup.exe.

Sorry but I tried that as well and still no luck. I even tried to run it on compatibility modes and it either gives my the same thing or it doesnt read the disc.

Try deleting pnkbstra.exe and pnkbstrb.exe from the system folder, stopping their processes in the device manager and then reinstall punkbuster using pbsetup.exe.

Then of course update.
