Alright, while I have been a long time Baur user, I never really tried this until someone mentioned it in a thread here. The Baur is extremely accurate. Sure, many have noticed this, but I wanted to see for myself.

Fall of Berlin. Ultimate sniper map. Lots of hiding spots, with lots of open ground split into corridors. Basically means those in cover have a HUGE advantage over those caught in the open. So I join your typical city maps server with my standard loadout, Baur/Defib/Herzog. I set the Baur to single shot, find a hiding spot, and hole up. Before long, PAC enemies were coming from 2 directions (they had backcapped our rear flag and had the first flag, meaning we had the 2 middle flags). I fired on troops, and repeatedly got 2-4 kills per magazine. Only a few got close enough to take them out. I got roughly 12 or so kills before dying. I killed everyone from 20 feet away to atleast 100m.

The point I am trying to prove is that the Baur is INSANELY accurate. I have made shots that would impress snipers. So try it. Take the Baur out of the closet and camp somewhere sniper style, and mow down people. It works.

yes i agree and the baur really shines in single shot
everyone says its only good in close because it has such high damage but they hadnt used it in single shot

Been using the Voss a little recently, to get my Voss K/D over 1 :p (Shouldn't discount the Voss in the area of single shot accuracy either. I 'snipe' with it a lot very effectively)

If you crouch and scope with the Baur, you can make some extraordinarily impressive sniper shots

Which is why I use it when I pod to roofs and feel like going assualt then sniper. :p

the baur's biggest thing for me is that it is a rifle to use in any situation. once you learn to control its recoil you can happily go toe to toe with any foe and at any range. 3 shot bursts take out anyone close to you, 2 shots for those at a distance and single shot for those way away.

i don't use the single shot mode much at all, but i can imagine its very handy at times

two headshots for sure, but i reckon a burst that hits the groin, chest and head is deadly too.

Light armor: 3 shots if all hit torso, 4 if one hits limb
Heavy armor: 4 shots if all hit torso, 5 if one hits limb

Or 2 headshots if you're a real bad ***.

Agreed with the original post/posts that <3 the Baur. Though I use it on full auto and get off with 2 round bursts at range.

Call me a noob, but the baur is driving me nuts. Can't seem to hit running targets that move across the screen. With Single shot or burst fire.
