Disconnected from the first server I try, every time

Every time I load BF2142, go to Multiplay, and try to connect to a gameserver on the internet, after a few seconds I get the message "You have been disconnected from the server." Or something like that, I don't have it in front of me now.

EDIT: The error message reads "Your connection to the server has been lost."

After that, I select a server with available slots, and I get in. It's not a huge bother, but the whole process, including server re-update after that first, failed attempt, adds 15 seconds or so to the process of jumping into the game. I'm looking to get rid of this nuisance.

It doesn't matter what server I attempt to connect to, at first. The first one always fails. Even if on the second attempt I try the exact same server, I can get in just fine. I never get so far as the loading screen, just a sort of greyed-out, paused version of the internet multiplay server browser.

This has been happening for a week or more for me too. It never used to be like this but now... every 'first' logon would fail... and yes it does not matter which server I pick.

I've got this problem since last Saturday, and all the time. But last night I updated Punkbuster manually to get the last update, and I was able to play 3 rounds in 2 different servers.

Maybe it's coincidence, but this weekend will tell me if all is right frow now, cause I was beginning to check for another game...:dead:

Same here. I click on a server, pause, then
"Your connection to the server has been lost"
Even if I try the exact same server it works. :cry:

cant believe they havent fixed it yet.... are they gonna wait for the patch to fix it? or worse, the next next patch?

And me. Now when I log in I just click on the first server regardless just so I know that next time I'll get on.
