i have a geforce 6600, 1 gig of ram, and a amd 3000+. i get titan lag with any more than 20 players, yet conquest is fine. so my question is, anyone got any suggestions on getting 30 titan attack kills on a 20 player titan server?

Cue the inevitable deluge of guys saying this was their easiest award ever, all they had to do was knife 30 people and what could be easier than that?
Seriously though - don't try too hard for this award, especially on a server that small. For that award you'll need a large-scale pitched battle on the enemy Titan, rather than 1) entrenched defenders who won't leave the corridors or 2) a Titan that goes down in minutes 'cause there's no defenders 'cause they're on the ground thinking their mates are defending. And I say that as a guy who doesn't have the award, hasn't really tried specifically to get it, and will therefore never get it unless it's an unexpected and lucky coincidence. Sorry if that sucks to hear, but this is one award that really takes the absolutely perfect circumstances to have happen, and those circumstances, while perfectly plausible and do occur, are significantly less likely on a server as small as 20 players. -
Got mine on accident on a 48 man Titan server with lots of battling on the enemy Titan.
Perhaps you could attack people under the Titan? Not very viable unless the Titans are moving...Comment

You are going to have to get the right round for this- that being the titan shields down for a long time with lots of enemy defenders. A 20 person server might be just to small to get this badge. Despite the limitations of your machine try to play on at least a 32 person server and deal with the lag. I believe there is less of this on the back decks of the titan then inside. Try camping on the back decks and pick off defenders after they twist eject out of their titan hanger. Also try camping in one of the catwalks and kill defenders who come though the vents or running around in the cargo bay below.
Again this mostly depends on the length of the round. Almost like you want your team to take their time in blowing up the enemy titan.Comment

Just my opinion Roger mate, but patch 1.20 killed off this award because it completely destroyed the vast number of people who used to actually defend the titan. Now people are more wise and attack themselves or just take silos. I fear your going to need a very perfect round to get this award but also fear you are too late to even try.Comment

i got mine on a big titan server. try not to go inside the titan and attack the consoles, there are normally lots of campers below and destroying them jus makes the round end too fast. so, camp on top of the enemy titan. kill those enemies podding down. be recon and drop apms all over the top. :)Comment

i just cant seem to get it done on 20 player servers. even with 24 players i start really feeling the titan lag. i need to upgrade this machine or ill never get it.Comment

I got mine on a 48 Titan Server. A Shotgun comes in handy here. Hope that they aren't all stuck in the corridors.Comment

If the Titan Defense/Assault gets busy, you can rack up large numbers of kills by APM/RDX camping the enemy vents. But really, Titan Defense and Combat badges are solely dependent on the rounds; you need a round with a lot of action on the Titan(s) to get them.Comment

Really hard to get this 1, either your squad give up and your left alone vs grenade lobbers or no-one defends and you get no kills. I got to 28 once (I think it was 30?) well whatever I got 2 under however many I was supposed to get, and never ever tried since.Comment

To be honest I'd say persevere with the lag on a 48 titan server, use the Recon kit and plant mines everywhere. Also camp the hole at the top with Demopaks.Comment

tbh its probs not your machine most of the time, try setting all the effects to low and play on a 64 player titan server, i cant see you doing it on any other server tbh, as i said its not impossible but recent patches have made it much harder to achieve. Its a very situational badge which IMO you shouldnt really try for as you wont get it
2 main criteria you need though:
Full 64 player titan server
Enabled titan movement (its the only way people actually decide to attack titans now)Comment

I had "similar" problems with the Titan maps. Every time i went down, i only saw the energy doors, all the rest was completely black... until i manage to put to work correctly by adjusting the quality bars. Sadly, i've suffered the "problem" of undefended titans. Fortunately we won the match, but only myself and a companion defended the titan against a bunch of PAC players... i learnt a lot from this match...
So my advice is simple, do your work, take those recommendations and have patience, the award will come. If ya want to defend, have the engineer kit, for example, the SMG is quite a enemy cleaner, and you can repair those gun consoles.
I dunno of attacking, i have to attack a titan yet. So good luck, be patient and work with your teammates!
