CD key has already been used to register an account

[x + 95 = 4x - 10]

I bought this game of EA Link and have upgraded to patch 1.40. I am trying to make a new account but it tells me that my Cd-Key has already been used to register an account. I tried the fix where I put x9323 or something infront of the registry entry but it did not work. What can I do

Just to let you know 1.40 patch is a beta so you wont find alot of servers running it 1.25 is the current patch that most servers are running.

Account or Soldier?
The game is permanently tied to your account, so you cant make a new one.
But you can have up to 4 (I think) soldiers at the same time.

You can only have one EA account per CD key (just another dumb copy protection measure). Log into the account that you first logged into when you started Battlefield 2142.

No I never made an account before!! I JUST bought the game.

Nevermind, I got it fixed and I suggest that this be included in the sticky in this forum.

If you buy the game off EA Link, you can only log in with your EA Link account and password. You can't make another account.
