Just some news to let you know, 8800's cant actually play DX10 properly, you will get about ten frames maxed out with a gtx. If you dont believe me search it on the net. DX10 hasnt been perfected yet and cards arent powerful enough for it.

I don't think that's entirely true man, there are some games with DX10 support which runs fairly well on these cards. Cards lower than 8800GTS on the other hand are crap on DX10. All the hype for DX10 is just like the hype for DX9.c which "everyone needed". It's not until now we have gotten games that have taken full advantage of it.

I'm probably gonna get this game sooner or later myself, but I'm not exactly going to spend the night outside in a sleeping bag, waiting for the local game store to open.

yea, a 7900 with 2 gigs of ram is recommended, i'm pretty sure 6600gt is minimum. I'll probably upgrade to vista for crysis. The game seems a little bit to much like the console version of farcry, the only major difference is graphics, and more destructible environments.
