    Horrible Lag and PING Problems

Ok so I bought this game about three weeks ago and have been plagued by problems ever since. I experience lag http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RBmuzmlYLrw (apologies for the shaky camera work.) and ridiculous PINGs of between 100 and 200 sometimes a little over.

I don't think that it's a computer specs or graphics card problem as it works fine in singleplayer and all my drivers are up to date and my computer more than fulfills the requirements. I think that it is a connection problem. My ISP is BTYahoo and I (supposedly) have 8MB broadband, though speedtests have put it nearer 6MB though this should still be ample.

The server list usually shows about 3 servers with a latency below 100 and the rest have latencies between 100 and 1300!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My only guess is that the firewall is blocking something, possible slowing something down. I'm trying to help out but I am simply a newbie about internet problems.

If you want advice on your FPS, you need to post your system specs and what settings and resolution you are running.
Maybe run 3Dmark06 and post your score too.

As for the high ping, I suggest you get the IP address of one of the servers with high ping.
Then start a command prompt and try pinging it from there (just type ping 127.0.0.1 or whatever the address might be).

If the ping is still high then we cant blame BF2142, since it was inactive.
Next step is trying traceroute, which tells you which servers you pass on your way to the target IP, and how much time each step takes.
In the commandprompt, type "tracert 127.0.0.1", again replacing my example with the correct address.
