i would mostly knife.. but if im on a big server that is full.. ill just shoot him quick so can move onto the next.

i would let him know im am there shoot him with the pistol and then hide then again and again.

Let me tell you a story.

Gibraltar. 48 man server. Huge battle between Toll and that other flag. I am doing my recon thing, sneaking in behind the enemy to put down a beacon so my team can move up can capture a rear flag. But thats when I see it. On a rooftop, 1 support, 1 sniper, and 1 assault. It was obvious these guys were coordinated, so I wanted to take them out. I pulled out my knife, ran up the ladder, crouched to avoid any APMs, and found them. All 3 were focusing on the fight. I proned down, and sliced, preparing to hear the sounds of cool metal cutting away muscle and tissue.

I hear a ping sound. A sound that occurs when metal hits metal, such as the metallic blade of my knife against the metallic roof of the structure I am on.

The support guy hears it, the assault guy turns around, and I am gunned down instantly. The sniper never even heard the gunshots.

Needless to say, I now take any and all chances to kill the enemy with my main gun.

But ammo isnt.

Ammo is irrelevant when you are support. And since shotgun kills are double points due to the Close Combat pin, I think the choice is obvious

For you maybe, but the assault class tends to expend more ammo.

I once threw my ammo hub at a proned sniper, but then he started to get up, so I took off my "uber leet" shock absorber boots and started pummeling him 'til he went back to the face-down position.
