    Dedicated mod server

I downloaded the dedicated windows server for 1.25 but as far as I can tell I can only load up vanilla 2142.

How do you load a dedicated server for a mod? I need to test my md5's and this can't be done by creating a local game because in a local server I need someone else to join to see if they work. Rather then sending my friends the mod, I thought it'd be easier to create a dedicated mod server and try to join that, but that's where I'm stuck.

EA/DICE has yet to fix this.

You have to launch the dedicated server using a different shortcut.

    For example:

    "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142 Server\BF2142_w32ded.exe" +maplist +modPath mods/Unlocks_v1.20a

hmm I must be doing something wrong

When I try to run it with that target it doesn't load the server, it just comes up with the command box and thats it.

Correct. It will load the first map in your maplist.con. Then you launch your mod on the client PCs and connect to your dedicated server. All client PCs and dedicated server must be running the EXACT same mod.

You won't see the GUI from the dedicated server like you do when you launch it from the regular shortcut that only works for the default BF2142 mod.
