Help Getting NS to work

Hello, I recently bought NS from EA Link, and it is not working. Whenever I try to join a server, I get an error saying the server only allows people with unmodified game versions to join, I tried everything, even reinstalled the whole game twice. On top of that my stupid EA account cant log on, and this is about the only other place I really can get answers, so please help, I am getting very frustrated, only a matter of time until I snap, thanks.
