Problem with 64/48 titan low fps on x1950 xt

    My system is composed by:

    Asus M2N-E motherboard
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
    2gb of DDR2 RAM
    X1950 XT 256mb @ 688/945

It makes 20fps outside the titan and 5-15fps inside the titan(with a lot of people inside ) or 15-20(with few peaple inside) at 800x600 all on medium, texture and geometry at high, Dynamic light and shadow at low, AAx4 and 16x anisotropic filter.

    Is it possible??

To play at 30-40fps on 64/48 titan map outside the titan and 20-30 inside the titan(with a lot of people inside) must i have a 8800gts 320mb(i dont want to buy a graphic card that cant satisfy me!)?

P.S. The cpu works at the 75% all the time

    Sorry for my bad english:dead:

    Kindof strange, my sytem:

    Asus mATX(forgot model)
    AMD X2 60 4400+
    2 gigs DDR 400 ram
    1950xt 256mb
    1024x768 resolution

With most settings at medium and only a few on low (google BF2142 tweaks for a good guide on settings) I get anywhere from 30-60 fps on conquest and outside of titan, inside its anywhere from 20-40 fps. I would check to make sure you have the newest drivers for the card first.

BTW my card starts to overheat after about 2-3 hours, really dragging the performance down.

Why are you playing at 800x600? Using such a low resolution and uber high levels of AA & AF is madness

        My suggestions are:

Start by setting you ingame resolution to the native resolution of your monitor, so if you have a normal LCD monitor set the game to its highest rez. If you want 1280x1024 or an alternative resolution you will have to edit your shortcut.

You have a good PC and graphics card so you should be able to put everthing on high settings. If you still want more FPS turn down the dynamic light & shadows.

Dont use mental levels of AA & AF. By upping the rez you instantly make the game look better without using AA. However again you have a decent PC so use 2XAA or 4XAA if you find you still have a decent FPS.

Finally, dont expect great FPS on titan servers. My PC isnt far behind your and I never experience fantastic FPS on titan servers.
