Problems when installing - DvD not found.

Hi there guys.

I recently bought BF2142 from the store, and tried to install it on this machine. When I put the DvD in the DvD drive, it makes a noise like it's trying to load. After a while, I get the conventional loading noise, but then it stops. The E:/ Drive is recognised on My Computer as BF2142. This is where the mystery deepens. I try to click on the E:/ drive, and my computer lags and then ultimately locks up.

However, I've tried loading the game on both my sister's and my mother's PC (exactly the same models, no extra drives etc.) and it works. I know my drive isn't buggered because it runs other DVDs instantly.

I don't have another drive to try this on, so help would be much appreciated.

so does your drive read other dvd's properly? or its jus the bf2142 disc?

It reads other DVDs just fine. It says the disk is corrupted, but that can't be the case considering my family's PCs both ran it.
