install bf on the same install path twice

ok heres the thing lol:

i decided to install the bf2142 beta again i copied my old bf2142 folder and named it as a backup.
But when i click the installer it asks me if i want to modify or remove the program.

what will happen?
does it remove the complete game so i wont be able to play again or
does it only make another installation?

are you trying to install the whole game. copy your folder. rename something like battlefield 1.25. Now run the 1.4 patch only. you will have two version of battlefield installed now. when you are done with the beta delete the folder with 1.4, rename battlefield back to its right name, then what i would do is run a reg cleaner.

its not THE 1.4 patch but the beta from where ea gave cd keys from :P it is almost the same as the normal bf installer.

Nobody knows, just try it.
All you settings are in "My Documents/Battlefield 2142", make a copy of that first.

Why would you want to install the beta for..
