Custom Kits, get creative!

Today at work I was thinking what it would be like if the unlocks were more customizable. For example, if you unlock the RDX Demopaks, you could drag them onto your Support kit.

If this were possible, I'd have a kit that looked like this:

1. Knife
2. Pistol
3. Clark Shotgun
4. Med Hub
5. IT-33 Active Camoflauge (with upgrade)
6. PK-74 AR Rockets
7. Frag Grenades
8. SL Unlock


That'd be fun, what would you use? :laugh:

I like that idea, but you have no Assault Rifle to attach the PK rocket attachment to, hence the "AR".

Mine would be like this:

AP= Anti-Personnel
AA= Anti-Armor

1. Knife
2. Pistol
3. Voss or Baur-AP
4. Ammo Hub- For resupplying
5. RDX-AA
6. EMP Grenades-AA
7. Fragmentation Grenades-AP

I'll tell you exactly what it would be like: it would kill teamplay as we know it. Currently, no one class can do everything. You have to rely on your team to cover the bases that your kit cannot cover, and this reliance is the foundation of the game. If you made a kit that could snipe, revive, use a shotgun, destroy vehicles and resupply itself, then what would be the point of playing with anyone else? You could just go and do everything by yourself.

The game would become more of a battle of individuals, instead of a battle of teams/squads who cover each others' backs, which is what 2142 is supposed to be about.

This was the impression most people had when they first heard about BF2142.

Granted, another impressive idea that was shot down by EA.

I dont entirely disagree though, because then some combos would be unstoppable. Still ****ty tho

If you were allowed to have your knife, pistol, primary gun, then 2 unlocks to go with it, as well as grenades and SL unlocks, it wouldnt be as bad. You would be seeing people running round with a Voss, Clark, Pilum, and Zellar all at once along with ammo and med hub and PK rockets, that wouldnt be a good idea.....
