    Lambert? What's it for?

Hey guys, I've got a question. I just playes some games with the Lambert.... and it SUCKS. It is not even a 100% with it's first shot. Its ranged damage is pathetic, and the oh so well balanced Voss and Krylov RAPE me at close range, even though I am aiming at my best. Now, I'm an absolute shotguun whore so myCQC aiming and reflexes are quite good. But I just can't get it done! The worst thing is Lambert vs Krylov for me. Krylov is so overpowered that it one hit kills me at any range.... So, my question to all the Lambert pro's out there is: how do I use this effectvely?(and with effectively I mean a KD/R of 2.5++)
    Cheers

Here is the secret - and YES i've discovered the trick to MASTER the lambert.

Fire 3-4 round bursts, drag the mouse up from the mid-torsco to the head.

It's for recon and not assualt for a reason.

And do what Cann0n fodder said, spay and close ranges, it has the most accurate full auto fire of all the guns.

I believe the deviation stays the same for this weapon at any length of fire?

A 3 shot burst has the same deviation as holding the button down and shooting the entire clip?

I guess, but medium bursts makes it easier at long ranges to handle the (almost non-existent) recoil.

The carbine is great on single shot

The key to remember is a carbine is a small, light, easy-to-handle rifle- perfect for recon use. Within 25 m or so, it's light recoil makes it devastating in short bursts. (Don't spray too much, or the second and thrid guy will kill you.) It's also relatively quiet, so you'll fine you can sneak in close then pop several guys in a squad, working back-to-front. (I.E. last guy first, so his buddies don't notice right away.)

If you try being a rambo with it, you'll die- it's not that kind of weapon.

The Lambert is a great gun and perfectly balanced, spec ops isnt meant to be the rambo class like in bf2, sniper rifles are for long range the Lambert is for getting close or medium range thus why it has a high rate of fire, i dont have any trouble taking people down with it so i would simply suggest practice

you cant expect to kill assault troops who are supposed to have superior weapons, its up to you to find out the best way to use the gun

Personally I think the LAMBERT CARBINE is a hell of a weapon. When I used to play RECON a lot to get my GOLD BADGE I used to love the LAMBERT. As said above, once you learned how to master this beast............$$$$$$

Actually the Engineer SMG's are more accurate on full auto at short ranges, but yeah the Lambert is most effective at very short ranges.

It's most effective when you are able to flank your target. Which is what a Recon should try to do anyways :p

I use the Lambert for everything on all maps Titan and Conquest and have 4,246 kills with it. It is the only consistent weapon I have used in 724 hours of gameplay.

Use if as backup when you are trying to get behind enemy lines. In a situation like that, your sniper rifle is not apropriate, and your pistol doesn't have the stopping power.

The way I see it, if you have to use it often, your not using the right kit.

I never use my Lambert. Never found a situation where I couldn't slip my knife in between someones ribs. :yay:

The lambert is actually a great gun i just think people see it as an over sized SMG and try to stay clear of it.

I do think it should be silenced though for recon style combat.
