Getting booted from every 1.40 server

I can't speak for the titan servers as I don't play titan mode, but every conquest mode U.S. 1.40 BETA server is crashing like every ten minutes. I keep getting lost connections every ten minutes or so from the Raleigh one running Highway Tampa and the United States one running every regular map. Anyone know what is going on? Is this a problem with 1.40 or with the servers? Because I never used to have these problems playing on these servers. This only started happening a few days ago. Is anyone else having these issues? And does anyone know what is going on?

Im having an identical problem.


It apears everyone on the server is booted at the same time, as when i connect back in again there are barely any people in there and the round hasnt started.


It never seems to happen with a few of the beta servers, so i think it might just be those couple of official 1.40 BETA ones that just suck and keep crashing every 10 mins.

What is going on here? The point of BETA testing the new map is to actually PLAY the new map. This server used to work perfectly for weeks, so what's the problem? Guys, PLZ FIX THIS. I am soooo close to switching back to 1.25

I hope dice makes a 1.40 beta > 1.40 full incremental patch

We are on it, we have a server crash issue that we are working with our Partners to fix.

yep, same happening here in UK. It's totally random - sometimes I get 3 in 10 min, other times I can go round several map rotations.

U.S. West Coast, I am getting bumped after about 10 minutes. Map looks sweet and I love the kit MOD. Unfortunately I have to unistall to play all me other FAV maps . Well its small price to pay. Asta La Pizza

Yes they still crash every other round, but the awesomeness of the new Clark keeps dragging me back.

But what I wanted to say was that you don't have to uninstall, it is possible to have 1.25 and 1.40 coexisting.

For future use:

1. Make a copy of your BF2142 folder before patching
2. Apply the patch.
3. Rename your patched BF2142 folder to "BF2142 Beta"
4. Rename your copy folder back to BF2142
5. Make a copy of your BF2142 desktop shortcut
6. Edit its properties so it points at your betafolder, and is named "BF2142 Beta"

Now you can switch between the official and the beta versions without doing anything special, just click on the relevant shortcut.
The only caveat is that they share your profile in documents, so if the format of that is changed there might be problems.
So make a backup of that too if you are the nervous type

Your situation is a bit different, but if you just rename the 1.40 installation instead of uninstalling, then you should be able to reinstall and patch the fresh install to 1.25, without losing the Beta.
Then make a shortcut to the Beta, and you are in business.
