I was under the impression that frag grenades counted towards the kills required for this badge. However, it seems that they don't as I should be more than qualified for the Gold Badge but still need some 30'ish explosive kills to get the global req's
Correct- just the APM, RDX, and Motion Mines. No frags, or everyone would have one!
Titan worked for me- Killing a few folks around silos before the shields go down seems to be key. Then for the titan defense to pay off, you should have moving titans, and hope for a round in which the commanders get them into podding distance, for a real bloodbath.

Yeah think that's how I got Bronze and Silver in the same round :p Was vent camping with RDX/APM
Guess I'll play Recon a couple more rounds then before working on the Assault and Engineer badges again...
Used RDX instead of my knife when I came up on people, etc. Then just camped a vent while they rushed our Titan. Came out with a score of like 116 (Gold Star for me! :p )
Edit: Err, the 116 came the round later. Final total with pins was 322 or something :p Went from 267/300 for the badge to 350/300 in one night. Don't think I've ever used RDX/APMs as much as I did then...

kinda done what i done to get mine i blew up transports and walkers and tank on the ground then when the shields were going down on out titan i spawned there APM the 2 vents and whorred one for a bit then jumped down got resupplied then camped the corridors with APMS and RDX ended up with 35 RDX kills 5 APMS kills and 10 lambert kills got gold, GOT expert Explosives and also got Expert titan defence and Brig Gen rank =D chuffed i was :salute:

I'm trying to work on my Gold Titan Destruction badge, but that's a rough one because of the rather strict requirements
Explosives Gold is one of the easier Gold badges to attain. It was my first and I got it without Motion Mines so it should be even easier now. Basically, ensure it's a Titan server (ideally with FF off) and use the Engineer kit with MMs during the initial skirmishes. Play on a server where the Titans can move and hope your commander moves your Titan to within podding distance of the enemy Titan. If there's no commander do this yourself before resigning.
Then go Recon and Spam APMs and RDX in vents and around the Titan floor. Ideally get a beacon above the enemy Titan (or your own) for a quicker return to the action.

well when is started playin i liked to blow stuff and when i realised i wanted expert i had 301 kill with explosives ended up the time it took for me to get explosives i had like 376 or sumthing haha
