Im still using XP (I do have vista on another HDD as well), but it isnt becuse I dont want to use Vista.

IMO there is no point in using vista at the moment becuase all the games are made for XP.

When the games are there I will start using Vista.

Waste of money. Build it yourself. If you can't. Get someone to build it for you. If not, use websites like digitalstormonline.com. You customize your PC while they build it and deliver it to you. 3 years parts and labor warranty too. Saves you hundreds compared to Alienware.

I use XP but I have a copy of Vista. It's a free (legal) version that came with my computer because I took part of some win game. Anyway, Vista has its flaws right now. I'll wait till it gets fixed and the whole "VISTA SUX!" chaos goes down.

XP runs soo much better than vista becuase i ran 2142 on vista for about a week and i could not stand it becuase i kept getting messages popping up while i was trying to play.
XP is by far the best OS to play 2142 on, if ayone doubts that then you really need 2 wake up lol

Vista Home 32bit, but I already regret that I got it. Should have gone for XP instead.

I had xp pro, updated to vista ultimate, had probs with that so went back to xp pro again, ive got my dual core now so i will put vista ultimate back on as i would only recommend using vista (any ver) on a dual core system with @ least 1 gig of ram, i got 2gig so am ok.
Will be installing it sometime this week.....

I have to have Vista for my work laptop, the only reason to use it for gaming is that it has a good graphics card and the only reason I'm not running XP on another core is because Vista has readyboost, so I can go and boost my RAM with a click, IMO readyboost is the only reason to get Vista.
