The game starts up and then shuts down.

okay I start the game and the screen goes black then reverts to the desktop.

It used to work. I tried reinstalling it.

I've tried every driver. Same results. this is really getting on my nerves. Anyone else have any ideas?

Okay I fixed it. I went to my documents and deleted my profile and that apparently did the trick. Creepy..

This same thing is happening to me.

I tried deleting the profiles folder, but it didn't help.

I start the game, and once I get to the main menu where you can pick Single/Multi player, and then once you pick one of those, it just crashes and goes back to the desktop. No error message or anything

Intel Pentium D 3.2ghz
nvidia GeForce 7600 GS
Sound Blaster Audigy SE
1GB of RAM

Everything has updated drivers, that was the first thing I did when it wasn't working.

is your 2142 store bought or bought via ea link?

what colorthecloud says looks like its either the exe causing this wrong path is it but when you mostly click single play you have some code in your exe allowing you to instantly log into the game.
