Hey guys just a question, the other night i was accused of cheating and i said wtf how. His reply was i was using an exploit and thats cheating. By this time i was a little poed. I Said how am i exploiting he said putting motion mines on enemy titan sheild above air craft is an exploit. True or false? I dont think it is, although i thinks its funny as heck.

Depends on the server you play on. I'm unclear as to whether it technically qualifies as an exploit (any RoC junkies want to give me a hand here?). It's a rather old trick, so don't pat yourself on the back too much for thinking of it.Hey guys just a question, the other night i was accused of cheating and i said wtf how. If the server administrator tells you not to do it, however, then don't do it or find a different server - it is a questionable tactic in the minds of most players. In short, if an administrator tells you it is cheating, then in that server it is cheating. -

first time i hear than its exploit and heh i know good solution for that tactic, go outside shield for a second and throw motion mine bait, problem gone :)Comment

that isnt really exploiting. putting mines at the enemy vehicles are a tactic. if so, when i put mines beside empty tanks and vehicles, im exploiting too? theres no logic at all. true exploits are those that let u gain extra points for nothing, like the old transport switching trick or the continuous rearming of unlimited ammo stuff. these are exploits, putting mines near enemy vehicles is hardly an exploit.Comment

I think the main quarrel is with the fact that the mines are being placed on the enemy's Titan shield, where technically they should either a) fall through to the main deck, or b) be incinerated by the shield, just as every other enemy object/player is when it touches the shield.that isnt really exploiting. putting mines at the enemy vehicles are a tactic. if so, when i put mines beside empty tanks and vehicles, im exploiting too? theres no logic at all. true exploits are those that let u gain extra points for nothing, like the old transport switching trick or the continuous rearming of unlimited ammo stuff. these are exploits, putting mines near enemy vehicles is hardly an exploit.Comment

If it is against the server rules, then it should be stated so on the loading screen.Originally posted by Demize99Legit strategy that can be countered with good piloting.
Also the mines have a tenancy to explode when placed when the Titan was moving, before patch 1.05.
Otherwise it is just one of those "don't kill the admin" rules that are created whenever you kill them.Comment

Either way, some consistency would be nice. Apparently the motion mines are capable of completely ignoring energy-based charges where a player or aircraft are destroyed by merely touching the shield.
Imagine if they made vehicle armor out of whatever they make the motion mines out of... :pComment

actually, u can even put rdx on the shield too....:dead:I think the main quarrel is with the fact that the mines are being placed on the enemy's Titan shield, where technically they should either a) fall through to the main deck, or b) be incinerated by the shield, just as every other enemy object/player is when it touches the shield.Comment

lol some people just dont like dying, its about as much of an exploit as shooting someone with a gun, its part of the game some admins just loves to customise the rules to their needs because things usually arent going their way lol, the problem is easily recified by podding up and using bait :yay:Comment

Ya it was a random player whinning. I never read anything on the server rules that stated anything about that. Ya i agree its a tactic, and i was only asking i know its a old tactic and i wasnt patting myself on the back just didnt want to be an exploiter, i play straightup and by server rules everywhere i go. Good hunting all and thx for replies.Comment

false its not an official exploit all a player has to do is look up behind the gunship if there are mm s up there motion mine bait can be used to move them; I wold suggest if it's in a servers specific rules then follow that rule...Hey guys just a question, the other night i was accused of cheating and i said wtf how.
