    Stock Engie Rocket Launchers

Do the Mitchelli and Sudnik have minmum ranges when they explode like the PK Rockets?

I just shot the rockets point blank while a FAV was speeding right toward me, and the rockets went through the FAV without hitting it and the FAV ran me over and killed me.

This has happened many other times before when I shoot directly at a speeding buggy and I'm really close to it when the rockets go off and they have no effect at all.

lag, thats why FAV with RDX on it is so efective, when FAV bost speed is almost immune to any dmg from walker etc

Just basic game dynamics. I've head shotted drivers as they were about to run me over and missed 'em. Seems to only happen when someone is driveing directly at you with speed.

I think your computer "sees" the fav in one place, you pull the trigger and fire, by the time the shot reaches that one place - the game has moved the fav, but hasn't drawn it yet and your shot misses. Even though the two would have crossed paths. The game doesn't reccognize it as a path, it sees it as several screen shots in a row. Your shot and the fav crossed over each other.

I've had the one of the 4 EU rockets explode in my face when it hit a rail.

Nah, the battlefield engine just doesn't like things moving toward each other really fast. Like what Twizzz said above.

this used to happen before patch 1.20 i think when the enigineers rockets used to go straight through APC's and tank, not seen it in ages though but then i usually use the pilum now if engineer, pi$$ p00r programming once again from our beloved EA lol

Happens all the time to me w/Pilum - I shoot FAV head on, maybe 10 metres away, nothing happens, BOOM, I'm roadkill. It's annoying to say the least. Although, I did manage to go prone as a dork in a tank tried to run me over, then I popped a cap in his a$$, LOL.

actually anything under a couple of metres away a good example is the speeding FAV afore mentioned and its better the aim the sudnik slightly above the target and the mitchell at the middle of the vehicle better chance of a hit IF it does register with the lag

                    It's a bug from BF2.

Yeah, hail the bad netcoding and hit detection in the Battlefield Games.

It can't be "Oh the FAV was in once place, and the lag from the server to your computer" or whatever, because I am shooting the thing HEAD ON. Its not moving from left to right or flying in the air - its staying in the same position.

I hear the rockets launch for a split second and see them come out, but get ran over.

Good to see that I'm not alone.

I used the Mitchelli because It 1-shots buggies.

same problem as in bf2 where the AT rockets would go through the windshield of the humvees.
