What do you hope to achieve by posting here?

If anything, I just wish ADMIN had tags that said ADMIN. Cause when I play and I get pissed off for some reason I wanna know who to talk to.

I enjoy going into a server and killing people with the servers tags. I will only hunt them and go above and beyond to kill / knife them. Just to see if they do the dumb, OMG STOP KILLING ME. Go after someone else.

I think some places are fine, but others want to kick for just getting killed too much. I think TCU were a great bunch of people, they had like 5 people on their SQ and I owned them up and down. I went 43-8 in that game, and I did not even get a single OMMG HACKER!!!! or anything dumb. They were a class act, and played great. It was also fun watching their team work, 5 vs 1 can be a pain sometimes.


Bottom line, I am sure you and your server is a good place, but it can really get lame watching people want to kick for no real reason, besides losing.

And I do understand he was breaking the rules. And it sucks, but what can you do.

they pay for their server, and as bommando stated, if you don't like it, play somewhere else.

most servers have a rule against commanders fighting, they just enforced their rule. not enough servers enforce their own rules.

one time i joined ma m8 and his server (his clan are really good gamers and really good people)

we were gettin owned by the enemy walker and noone wud either spawn as engi or try get our walker so i got killed so i spawned as engi with the pilum MM and MMB grab the walker and decide to go duke nuk'em on the other walker well i got hit with a rorsch and then the walker unloaded itself on me so i bailed place 2 mm threw a mmb and shot it with the pilum and the admin (ma m8s clan member) threatened to kick me when i asked why he said

i whorred the walker and used cheap tactics to kill him (a clan who thinks there server is for "elite" only)

(his score was like 21 kills 0 deaths at the time)

when i told him that MM + MMB isnt a cheap tactic and that its more of the reverse hekicked and banned me, ma m8 then reversed the banning since me n him were on the server

later on that guy got his admin rights revoked because he was threatening every1 that killed him with an immediate ban

he recently has been kicked from that clan because turns out the founder caught him gliching on another server and he hates glitchers and stuff =P

that's why clans/gaming communities need to be very careful who they let admin servers. apparently they didn't screen well enough, but its good they cleaned up their mess. in my community, there is a lengthy process to even become a member to make sure people aren't smacktards.

i agree as long as there is no general opinion within the team that the comander is not doing his job then they should be allowed to fight as just sitting at base or on the titan is a bit boring and like the topic starter says you can quite easilly as an engy defend a silo, or flag point as well as sucessfully comand the team. However i disagree with the topic starter giving the admins a hard time as most of the time they are just normal people who do not make the rules nor particuallary want to bother with backcahtting n00bs but instad just want to enjoy a game on a server that they are most likely paying for

I agree with the OP that it was taking the "CO's don't fight" rule too far... however, as Bommando said, you don't need to dis the server owners because you don't like their rules, simply go play somewhere else.

That said, I am starting to get tired of rule heavy servers, as some of the rules are way to much of a gray area... how many jumps does it take to bunnyhop? Please draw a line on the map for what you consider uncap raping (actually saw one server that did this in the load screen). What exactly is considered commander "combat"? (been kicked from a server that stated basically CO's aren't allowed to defend themselves :shakehead:)

Unfortunately a few servers come to mind that have rules like this in place, and admins banning people left and right for violating them... I'm not necessarily dissing the admins, but when you're banning someone every couple of minutes, I think there's some issues.... when it really becomes a problem is when the last rule is (of course not printed) any clan member/admin is exempt from said rules, please baserape/bunnyhop away!

hehe... some rules are just silly. i had an admin tell me i can't attack a gunship on its heli-pad... then an admin tv's me while i'm repairing on mine. absolutely unfair and using their status for their own benefit, so i left the server.

but, there are quality, well-admin'd servers out there that are a BLAST to play on. just gotta find 'em!

And this is the entire point. Obey the rules of the server you are on, or do not play there. They pay for the server, they set the rules to their own liking. In this case your ban was justified, as much as you may disagree. Whether or not you agree with their rules is no excuse for not following them. If the admins are abusive or do not enforce their rules, then you know what? Lead by example and go to a different server. If the behavior continues, then the server loses patronage until eventually it is unpopulated and thus discontinued.

Frequenting a server is implicit approval of its rules and a compliment to its admins. If you disagree with the rules or dislike the admins, then find another place to play. If everyone does this, then the poorly run servers are rapidly weeded out.

yeh i think he was a friend of some1 in the clan so he nvr really got screened and i think if he was he was acting on good behaviour

but the founder put a thing on the server list saying appologies for (name) ex member has been banned from clan sorry for any inconvenience..

its good the got it sorted soon caus who knws what he cuda done for the clans reputation

my point is

if the admin is on the losing side they will kick ban way more often the opposing team especially if the person they are kicking is killing a few to many clan members

its amazing how the zany/numerous rules get enforced in direct relation to how much the server owners are loseing

If you don't agree with those server rules, then play somewhere else. At least he had the decency to warn you about it in person. If you were a smart-mouth to me, I'd ban you too.

What do you hope to achieve by posting here? Another one-sided "I am so leet, I got booted for killing the server owners" whine fest. Either state your case maturely to their admins or don't play there. You proved your immaturity by disrespecting the people who paid for the server and now by posting here about it.

the losing team always resorts to ban cause they cant stand it when someone stands up to them ive never been kicked/banned if the admins were on my side

i dont play the silly games of ramming or jihad 99% of time i fight on the ground with my unlocks i adapt to the situation change kits and fight where it is needed to help my team win if it means being an agressive commander i do it:salute:

Lame server rules. Isn't there a BFROE rule against admins forcing people out of certain map locations? you aren't allowed to restrict people like that?
