          I am having the same problem with audio on my X-FI Fatal1ty - it always seems to start with Arty. But then the sound in the game will continue to deteriorate and ultimately my machine will reset - not even a CTD!!!

          It is just brutal and has me back playing BF2 for stability reasons alone. I really want to play 2142 - but the full reboots are killing me.

          I have the latest drivers from creative installed and it is set to gamer mode.
