cant see any LAN game servers

Hi....I am running ubuntu OS 9.04
I am running Counter Strike through Steam.

When my friends create a CS LAN game (on windows and without steam) then I am unable to find any LAN games.
Can someone suggest a solution for this, as I am new to ubuntu???? :emot-gonk:

When I create a CS game ,then my friends who are running CS (on windows and without steam) can find the LAN game but when they try connecting they get a error:-
"Your version does not match the servers. Please restart the game. "
I have searched the net and also deleted the maps as suggested but the error still continues.

Can anybody give a working solution for this.????? :emot-gonk:

Their version is different from yours. Simply not compatible.
