Where should I install Half-Life expansions?

Should I install Half-Life: Blue Shift (and other Half-Life expansion packs) in the same folder I installed Half-Life in (D:\Program Files\Valve\Half-Life)? That is the default install location for the expansion packs (or atleast that one), but I'm afraid it might overright the original Half-Life's files, so should I really install it there? Also, please note that I have the non-Steam versions (thank God).

i think you should if you want them to work. (put them in where half-life folder)
