OK well since im a computer moron and cant figure this one out i hope someone here can.
Heres the run down.
I just got a new laptop and reinstalled steam. Everything went great i was playing CS 1.6 no problem and everything is way smoother and faster now. Ive had it installed for about 2 days and added a few custom skins which didnt seem to cause the problem since i was playing after i added them. What happens is when i double click a server to join a steam window comes up and says "please wait while steam verifies game files" and above the little progress bar it says "validating counter strike file 1 of 1" The bar goes to full real quick and it says 100% then closes. Problem being nothing else happens it doesnt load the game. Ive tried clicking lots of times, but well obviously that didnt work.
Any help is appreciated since now that i finally have a computer i can play CS on properly with out horrible lag spikes and broken keys id like to use it.
