1. Know and use your weapons
Always know the power of each weapon; this is the most vital step to surviving and winning games. You should also remember the amount of ammo in each gun when you switch. You should always be using the right weapon for the right scenario. For example you wouldn’t want to go into close quarters combat with a sniper rifle. So, you should switch to your

4. Use Stealth

Remember to use silencer weapons to improve your element of surprise and so your position won’t be given away. Weapons like the M4 or USP will be perfect for stealth. Even a knife at times will work.
Crouching when you’re near an enemy is very useful even if your enemies manage to run into you, they will be surprised and you can then shoot them.
5. General Tips
Strafing and zigzagging towards your enemies will help confuse your enemy and it can also help your team take him out.
Jumping up and down when you’re under pressure will also help you avoiding the dreaded ‘Boom Headshot!’ This is a perfect thing to do when you have an AWP trying to gun you down.
Scouting then luring is also a great strategy, what you do is send one lone team member out to lure other players into an ambush and then you can strike them down. Its good to send people with low health and ammo.
