  • Need help

Hello, I just got CS:S today, and downloaded it, and the gameplay is really choppy. What I mean is I hit a key, the computer processes it for a second, then does it, and is really slow. Does anybody know any way to help me with this without having to buy a new commputer?

IF anybody wants to know whay kind of a computer set up I have they can ask and I can see if I can find out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I'm looking at it now and apperently my FPS is like 10... Frames per Second, rite?
Does anybody know how to increase that?

I'm sorry if this is spam.

Hmm, what kind of video card do you have?
Because 10 fps is just awful.

      Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

I read somewhere else that somebody had a problem with a similar card...

Yes because that's an integrated card.
You have no chance of playing this game on that setup.

I don't know what you can do about it. Maybe get an external video card for your laptop? Unless this is a desktop and you can go buy something decent real quick and without much of a fuss.

In theory the Expresscard slot in a modern laptop will support a graphics card's throughput, so that's a possibility in the future. If this is a desktop, the answer is easy - a $50 video card will do the job. If it's a laptop, you'll have to look into playing CS 1.6

Thank you guys very, very much.
It is a desktop, so I'll just get a new card. Thanks!
