counter strike choke fps lag issue

hey guys my first post cause i need help

7800 GT nvidia
2gb ram
600gb hard drive
3.0 pentium D intel

i used to get constant 90 fps, even if i am on the menu screen browsing servers

now when i even open the server list, it goes from 99 to 30

even idle on the main cs screen i get 80-90

in the game itself.... 20-30 fps wtih 8-9 choke

you should refer to my frame persecond optimizing config post it may help, probably the bottom. i think you have a lag compression error problem.. or your network location awareness service is running in msconfig. if you use the bottom config and maybe add a few from the top, all of the settings I posted have a positive effect on your fps.
