Prob with screen format changing?!?

Help! I am playing CS for PC, version 1.6, and recently when starting the software, the screen format is NOT full screen, and there are several inches of the screen below the bottom of my monitor. Because of this, the Option choice is not accessible and I cannot change it to full screen. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy way to fix this, or stop this from happening in the future? When changing the display resolution, more of the CS screen is missing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and it just happened again. [Also, because I reinstalled it, I began getting "validation" errors that wouldn't allow the software to be played...but only sometimes. This is minor compared to the other issue though.]

Any help on this would be very appreciated!!

Hmm try changing the resolution via launch options.
-w 1024 -h 768 gives you a 1024x768 rez. Maybe some combination will work for you.
