Game is running too quickly

I have started playing condition zero and I am working my way through the different levels when all of a sudden the game started moving too quickly. The game is now so fast that terrorists just appear out of nowhere and I can not control my own movements

any ideas? the game was working fine for the first 5 scenarios, but when I go back to them now, it runs too quickly

If I remember correctly, this was an issue with CS when dual core CPUs first came out - the engine does not support dual cores and goes mentally fast! You need to assign the hl.exe process to just one core - that is if you have more than one!

With hl.exe running (or even cscz.exe or whatever it may show as in the Task Manager) right click the program name in the Processes list, and click Set Affinity. Then make sure only one core is ticked. Your game speed should then be correct.
