Problem, need help!

Here's my story.

Just yesterday, I bought a new computer:
Processor: AMD ATHLON X2 6000+
Memory: 2 GB, DDR2
Graphics: GeForce 8800 GT 256 MB,

then I installed CS (full1.6 + v21 patch) and started playing...
After few mins i noticed that my character is kind a lagging but not like real lagg, he is actually like tripping on something every 30 to 60 secs, and it lasts about 3-4 sec. It's really annoying and I can't play well.

Some of my friends told me that "too good" graphic card can be the problem for CS, is that really possible or wtf? I need help and need it fast.

I will just add that when I create game it seems OK, just when I log onto any server that happens. My connection is 3MBit and I never had any similar problems with old computer.

Your graphics card is not 'too good', that's the sort of guff made up by people who should have no idea what they're talking about. Are you perhaps getting small CPU spikes from a background program running? Do you use a wireless connection?
