I had the chance to visit the Wild West Gun Club & Shooting Range last weekend, & I tried out both the Glock & Beretta.
The 9mm Glock I fired had a 6 shot clip. On the rapid fire of 8 clips, I attained loose clusters with either hand. Being a lighter firearm: it tends to jump a bit on its recoil, this makes rapid fire a little harder. I did not like its partridge sights as the target is obstructed (altho many competition target shooters swear by partridge sights). I did have the misfortune of the gun jamming on the rapid fire, but this may have been due to the cartridges not being fully flush back in the clip, or the gun may have been dirty.
The 9mm Beretta I fired had an 8 shot clip. On the rapid fire I attained good accuracy with both my right & left hands. Having some good weight to it (a few more oz. than the Glock): its recoil was less than that of the Glock, making recovery to the target after recoil somewhat easier. Its v-notch sights gave good visibility of the target. The Beretta delivered all 8 rounds trouble free, 6 clips in a row.
Over all, Beretta has got my vote.
