STEAM - Duplicate Product Code

I haven't played counter-strke or DOD in years....since I got my first xbox. But, I was bored today and thought I'd install CS and play a little. After installing the game (i have an original copy with authentic cd key) I installed Steam. When I enter the prodcut code I get the:

"Duplicate Product Code" error from Steam. I tried using their technical support but the site is incredibly slow, and the pages were just lagging out, so I could find any info on their site. Can someone here please help?

I've only heard of duplicate cdkeys.
You've gotta go to steam support. Even if it's slow.
