Anyone tried any of the other arrows with it?

I've enjoyed using it and unlocked the scoped variant and wondered how the other arrows worked?

I did find out that the arrows will pass through soft objects like crates, but other than that, I just enjoy messing with it.

Use V? to change arrows. Changing arrows and reloading is ungodly slow.
The different arrows are:

-Standard Bolt: horrible range / drop. (10 meters?). This bolt has the best power though and is usually a 1 shot kill close up.
-Scan Blot: Has the round sensor on the end. Better range. Works just like a "tugs" for a few seconds wherever it hits.
-HE Bolt: High Explosive. identified by the C4 pack on the end of it. slightly effective vs infantry. works pretty good on armor/vehicles.
-Balanced Bolt: identified as the "red" bolt when you are using it. Has stabilizing fins. Has very good range (100+m). Almost no drop.

The xbow is fun to use and pretty much silent. you can pretty much lay next to enemies and pick them off without them finding you. You only get 7 arrows and can change between any type of bolt you have unlocked.

If your not sure which bolt you have, you can look at your hud and the bolt type will be highlighted.

the explosive one is the one with the crazy drop xD, the standart does not have such an horrible range, at least in my opinion.
And don't use the explosive on tanks or apc's unless they are already damaged, because it will take forever to take them down and it will give them enough time to run away or find you first and kill you. It is useful though against light armored vehicles and helicopters.
The scan bolt disappointed me because I thought it would work similarly to a tugs but it only spots as soon as it hits.

I honestly don't use the bow in general just because my crappy framerate does not allow me to use slow or bolt action weapons effectively

Man, that sucks. So basically the two regular bolts are the best and everything else is junk.

I wouldn't say it like that, basically it depends on the situation, and as you are already carrying all of the bullets and you aren't really forced to choose which type to take with you, they all end up having some use somehow somewhen

Well, I guess that makes it better. Switching between them wouldnt be so bad and I dont have to use them all.

Where do you find the crossbow?

I don't understand what you are asking, but if it's where you equip it, it's usually in the equipment selection in the gadjet section, for example where the sniper has it's Softlam/T-ugs/mav, and where the support has it's c4/claymores.. that's where you will find it provided you have bought the expansion and unlocked the crossbow.
